Lincoln City face FA Cup replay goalkeeper crisis

Holdsworth could be without all three of Lincoln's recognised goalkeepers

Manager David Holdsworth fears Lincoln City could be without a recognised goalkeeper for Tuesday's FA Cup replay against Alfreton at Sincil Bank.

Joe Anyon is suspended after being sent off in the original tie, Nick Draper is ill and Doug Lindberg is injured.

Cup rules do not allow clubs to bring in loan players for replayed matches.

But Holdsworth told BBC Lincolnshire: "I'll appeal to the nature of what the cup is about. It demeans it if I have to put an outfield player in goal."

Anyon will serve a three-match ban after receiving a straight red card for pushing Alfreton's Chris Senior in the 1-1 draw at the Impact Arena.

Draper, who made his Imps debut after coming on to replace Anyon, had been struggling with an illness prior to Saturday's tie while Lindberg picked up an injury during a loan spell at Sleaford Town.

The winners of the fourth qualifying round replay at Sincil Bank at 1945 GMT on Tuesday, 1 November will be at home to League One Carlisle United in the first round proper.
