Martin Brittain's first goal of the season helped play-off chasing Gateshead earn a draw with Braintree.
Gateshead took the lead when Micky Cummins headed home Chris Carruthers' cross from close range before Jai Reason's penalty levelled the game.
The visitors then went ahead after Andrew Yiadom found the net with a right-footed finish from 18 yards out.
Brittain earned a point just after the hour after running onto Nathan Fisher's pass before firing home a low strike.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire told BBC Essex:
"I was quite happy with the draw in the end, especially after going one down at half-time. We came back, showed a lot of character, got in front and then we've held on.
"[At half-time] I said just pick it up 10-20% and we know we are going to score. Every time we play we know we are going to score.
"They are a good side and they will take a lot of points here."
