Queen of the South 0-2 Livingston

Scottish Football League

Livingston moved up to third place in Scottish Football League Division One after beating Queen of the South at Palmerston.

Marc McNulty gave Livi a sixth-minute lead when he swept home from 20 yards.

Queens goalkeeper Lee Robinson denied McNulty a second eight minutes into the second half.

The hosts then had the chance to level when Robert Barr fouled Kevin Smith in the box and referee Brian Winter pointed to the spot.

But Smith's penalty was straight at keeper Andrew McNeil, who kept the score at 1-0 to the visitors.

Mark Fotheringham scored from close range to double Livingston's advantage in the 64th minute.
