Manager Martin Ling says it is important for Torquay United to use the midweek victory over AFC Wimbledon as a platform for a run of positive results.
The Gulls had gone eight games without a win before Tuesday's 4-0 success.
"It's important now that we pick up another positive result and get the feel-good factor back into the club," Ling told BBC Radio Devon.
"We've done the first step, we've got to follow it up with another win."
Ling says beating Wimbledon was vital for team morale as Torquay prepare for Saturday's home fixture against Hereford.
"When you haven't won for a period the pressure builds in the unit and everyone starts to question themselves and whether they're doing things right.
"The atmosphere after the game was a big relief, but also a steely determination to take it on and move the season where we want it to go," he said.
