Tom Bradshaw is aiming for an extended run with Shrewsbury after scoring Tuesday's winner against Accrington.
The 19-year-old, who had previously made only one first-team start this season, grabbed his chance when Terry Gornell was ruled out by injury.
"I hope I've given the manager a real selection problem for Saturday," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"I know I've got to be patient, but I always give everything and feel I'm improving all the time."
Bradshaw burst onto the scene in April 2010 when he came on as a late substitute at Crewe and scored twice on his professional debut.
The Wales Under-21 international followed this up with six goals in 30 appearances last season.
Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner rewarded Bradshaw with an extended contract that ties him to the club until 2013.
"There's no doubting his talent and he's always learning," said Turner.
"He's got spark and energy, pace and mobility, and he can improve technically."
