Birmingham 0-0 Brighton
Birmingham were held to a frustrating draw as their four-match winning league run came to an end against Brighton.
Marlon King went closest for the home side in the opening stages.
But in a game of few chances, Craig Mackail-Smith fired narrowly off target for Brighton while Liam Bridcutt also went close for the visitors.
Birmingham remain unbeaten in six league games but boss Chris Hughton was left frustrated after a game to forget at St Andrew's.
It was the hosts who dominated the opening quarter, pressing Brighton at every opportunity.
Former Wigan striker King spurned a glorious chance after nine minutes when his low strike from eight yards fell agonisingly wide of the target.
Brighton, who are now without a win in eight league games, also found chances hard to come by.
Bridcutt forced Boaz Myhill into a fine save but the game ended in stalemate.
