Alfreton Town manager Nicky Law is optimistic his side will avoid relegation despite their poor start.
The Reds are second bottom in the Blue Square Bet Premier, with just two wins from their opening 16 games.
But Law told BBC Radio Derby: "As bad as the results have gone I don't think we are drastically far away.
"If we can get two of three positions nailed down I would be quite confident. I think it would give the whole team and the whole club a lift."
Law added that finding the players he wanted was "not easy" but said it was too early to panic.
"There are 30 games left. There is a lot of football to play. We will have to do a lot of improving - that's for sure," he said.
"Talk of going down 15 or 16 games in is reality but I don't think we will. We can pull it around."
