Inverness manager Terry Butcher bemoaned a poor display by his side in the 2-0 defeat by St Johnstone.

"I have no complaints about the result, massive complaints about the performance," said Butcher.

"We never really got going. I said at half-time that it wasn't like us, to go out and show how we can play.

"We had a lot of possession, but we didn't create anything. We could still be playing there on Monday and Tuesday and still couldn't score."

Inverness continue to prop up the Scottish Premier League and remain a point behind Dunfermline, who lost to Hearts.

The former England captain added: "Full credit to St Johnstone, they defended really well."
