Bury 0-0 MK Dons

Bury produced a battling performance to end their four-game losing run with a goalless draw against MK Dons.

MK Dons felt they should have had a penalty when Efe Sodje appeared to foul Daniel Powell inside the area, but the referee gave a free-kick instead.

Bury were denied in the final minute when Andy Bishop broke one-on-one but had his effort saved by David Martin.

At the other end, Trevor Carson pulled off a fine save to deny Dons debutant Clinton Morrison an injury-time winner.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Bury manager Richie Barker told BBC Radio Manchester:

Barker pleased to end run of defeats

"On top of the point, the performance was great.

"What pleased me most was that the players have come in after the game and recognised what it was that got them the point.

"They started decent, but I thought we grew into the game and grew in confidence."

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson tells BBC Three Counties Radio:

Robinson questions 'mind blowing' refereeing

"I felt, for large parts of the game, we dominated. We had three or four chances in the first half.

"Second half we had two or three gilt-edge chances that have dropped in the six-yard box.

"But saying that, in the last minute of the game something ridiculous happens and David Martin has to pull us out of trouble, it was a strange ending to a strange draw."
