Swansea suffer Kemy Agustien and Craig Beattie injuries

Swansea City will be without midfielder Kemy Agustien for up to six weeks because of a hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old Dutchman was forced off in the 64th minute of Swansea's 1-0 loss at The Emirates Stadium.

Striker Craig Beattie, who is yet to feature this season, is also set for eight weeks on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage.

Agustien, replaced by Mark Gower on Saturday, had started in Swansea's opening four Premier League games.

He was restricted to three league starts last term due to knee trouble but has impressed so far in Swansea's first season in the Premier League.

Swansea do have midfielder cover as Gower, Joe Allen, Leon Britton, Andrea Orlandi and even defender Ashley Williams can play in the holding midfield role.

Williams will be needed in the heart of the defence, though, as Garry Monk's continued absence and Alan Tate's broken leg leave the Swans short at the back.

Their options have been limited further by the delay in completing the transfer deadline day deals for Rafik Halliche and Darnel Situ.
