Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o scored on his debut for Anzhi Makhachkala as he rescued a point for his new Russian club against Rostov.
Eto'o came on as a substitute in the 57th minute in front of a packed stadium in Rostov, where 1,500 Anzhi fans had travelled to see him.
Belarus midfielder Timofei Kalachev put Rostov 1-0 up in the 72nd minute.
Eight minutes Eto'o levelled, scoring from the edge of the six-yard box after Yuri Zhirkov set him up.
Eto'o only began training with his new team on Thursday after completing his move from Italian side Inter Milan the day before.
