Joint-Pilgrims manager Lee Canoville says he does not want to use injuries as an excuse for the 2-0 defeat at Nuneaton on Tuesday.
It was the Pilgrims' second defeat in a row with fellow joint-manager Jason Lee on the substitute's bench due to a number of players being out.
"Any team at this level that loses important players will find it difficult," Canoville said.
"But I don't like making excuses - any team that we put out there should win."
Canoville is missing through a knee injury, while striker Julian Joachim is also sidelined.
However it is hoped striker Mikel Suarez and midfielder Ben Wilkinson will both return from injury in time for Saturday's trip to Harrogate.
Meanwhile Danny Sleath will return to the club after his time with Great Britain at the World Student Games.
