Ex-France youth international Armand Traore is in line for his competitive debut for Senegal after being named for an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The defender is part of a 24-man squad to play DR Congo on 3 September.
Traore, a former French under-21 international full-back, won his first cap for Senegal in a friendly against Morocco on 10 August.
It is not certain if he has applied to Fifa for a nationality switch to enable him play for the West Africans.
Senegal coach Amara Traore, who will have to sit in the stands after being sent off in their last qualifier, made no changes to his squad from the August friendly which Senegal lost 2-0.
The 24-man selection excludes the Turkish-based Issiar Dia and Mamadou Niang, both suspended for the game after being red carded in the last qualifier.
Senegal, who lead Group E with 10 points, will qualify for Gabon and Equatorial Guinea if they win the game in Dakar on 3 September.
They missed last year's edition of the tournament held in Angola.
