Goals from Graeme Beveridge and Craig Gunn ensured a win over Queen's Park which moves Elgin into third place in the Scottish Third Division.

Elgin opened on six minutes when Beveridge shot into the top corner from 12 yards, via a Daniel Moore cross.

Just before the half-hour Gunn fired low from the edge of the area for his fifth goal in two games.

The Spiders came close in the 87th minute but the home keeper was in fine fettle to keep out Ian Watt's cross.
