Oldham Athletic have strengthened their defence with the double signing of Bradley Diallo and Nathan Clarke.
Centre-back Clarke, 27, joins on a five-month loan deal from fellow League One side Huddersfield.
Diallo, 21, who can play anywhere across the back line, joins after being released by Marseille in the summer and has signed a five-month contract.
Both players are available for selection for Saturday's local derby against Rochdale.
Speaking about the move Diallo told the club website: "I have wanted to play in England for a long time and, when the opportunity came to come here on trial, I couldn't turn it down."
Clarke, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Colchester, said he has joined the Latics in the search of first-team football.
"After playing every week and being a regular in the side, it has been tough," he said.
"It is an experience most players go through and it is great to have the chance to prove a point at another club.
"The manager [Paul Dickov] wanted me to come and play which was a massive factor in the move.
"This is a new experience and new challenge and one I am looking forward to."
