Leyton Orient goalkeeper Jamie Jones could be sidelined for up to six months with a shoulder injury.
The 22-year-old has suffered a labral tear in his right shoulder and will undergo surgery to cure the problem.
Jones was a key figure in Russell Slade's side last year, making 42 appearances in all competitions.
Slade told the club website: "I feel for the boy because he has worked hard at strengthening it, but its now clear an operation is needed."
He continued: "Hopefully this will solve the problem once and for all and Jamie can return stronger in the New Year."
