Oxford United will bounce back following a disappointing opening day result at Rotherham, according to forward Alfie Potter.
The U's were defeated 1-0 at the Don Valley Stadium in their first game of the Football League season on Saturday.
Potter told BBC Oxford: "We prepared right but we just haven't got the result. We will bounce back, it's not the end of the world.
"Of course everyone is disappointed. We want to go out and win every game."
United failed to convert a number of chances in the first half to go in front and were punished after the break with a stunning 20-yard strike from Lewis Grabban.
Potter, who was used as a second-half substitute, added: "We'll keep our heads up and we'll come back.
"It's the first day of the season and the season runs until May, so it's plenty of time to make up and we'll do everything we can to do that."
The U's continue the season against Championship side Cardiff City in the first round of the Carling Cup on Wednesday.
