Phillip Johnston's brace helped Airdrie get their Second Division campaign off to a winning start against Dumbarton.
Johnston drilled home Fraser Keast's cross to give the hosts the lead after six minutes.
Ryan Donnelly claimed Airdrie's second three minutes later, powering home a rebound after Derek Holmes' had headed against the post.
Scott Agnew struck the woodwork for the Sons before Johnston converted another Keast delivery for Airdrie's third.
