Huddersfield 1-1 Bury

Ryan Lowe's close-range equaliser earned newly promoted Bury a good draw at promotion favourites Huddersfield.

Terriers winger Gary Roberts gave his side the lead when he converted substitute Lee Novak's cross from short range in the 65th minute.

But Richie Barker's Bury, who were League Two runners up last term, equalised 11 minutes later.

Andy Bishop headed onto strike partner Lowe in a crowded area and he turned the ball home.

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds:

"It was poor, in all aspects of the game, just the tempo with or without the ball.

"We didn't press well enough, we gave Bury too much time on the ball, our tempo on the ball was laboured and we didn't test the goalkeeper enough.

"There's a lot of work to be done. I'm bitterly disappointed with the performance, but we've got lots of games to go."

Bury manager Richie Barker told BBC Radio Manchester:

"It's very difficult to pick anybody who didn't do their job or who didn't work as hard as they could do.

"I don't think many teams will come from behind and nick a point here because they've got some excellent players.

"We are delighted, but on the flip side I thought we created enough chances to get something else out of it."
