Northern Ireland to face Danes in Milk Cup Elite final

Northern Ireland are into the of Milk Cup's Elite Section for the sixth year in a row after beating Georgia 3-1 at Ballymena Showgrounds.

The result was just enough to take Steve Beaglehole's boys through and they play Denmark in Friday's final.

Seanan Clucas headed the hosts into an eighth-minute lead with Matthew Ball shooting the second on 70 minutes.

Georgia got one back through sub Varlami Kilasonia before Neil Dougan's crisp shot made it 3-1.

The Danes beat Israel 3-1 and will face Northern Ireland for the second time this week, the sides having drawn 1-1 on Monday.

In Wednesday's other Elite League game, Mexico drew 1-1 with the USA.

Jesus Ruiz put Mexico into the lead in the 12th minute and Jalen Robinson headed the equaliser in first-half stoppage-time.

In the Premier Section, holders Etoile Lusitana from Senegal beat County Down 1-0 to book their place in the semi-final where they face Manchester United, 4-1 winners over Hartlepool.

The other semi-final is between Aspire of Qatar and Desportivo Brazil.
