Inverness Caledonian Thistle have agreed a one-year deal with Austrian left-back Thomas Piermayr.

The 21-year-old recently featured for Terry Butcher's side in their friendly against Buckie Thistle.

He comes into the squad after rejecting overtures from MK Dons and a new deal with LASK Linz, whom he joined in 2008 and played for more than 50 times.

Piermayr's signing follows those of Blackburn Rovers winger Aaron Doran and Northampton striker Billy McKay.

Paperwork has been completed to allow the pair to feature in the season's opener away to Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League.
