Liverpool Ladies have completed the signings of defenders Emma Jones and Beth Bailey ahead of Sunday's Women's Super League game with Arsenal.
Jones joins the Reds from fellow WSL club Bristol Academy, while Bailey signs from National Division side Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool are bottom of the WSL and looking for their first victory.
Reds boss Robbie Johnson told BBC Radio Merseyside: "What they can bring to the team is stability and experience."
He added: "We've been looking to strengthen in defence which will give us confidence, keep us in the games longer and hopefully be able to push us on to get our win."
Wales international Jones has made five appearances for Bristol this season, including three in the WSL and she says Liverpool can improve.
"I don't think the league position is that reflective of what's happened in the games," said Jones. "I think if you take out Birmingham and Arsenal at the top, it's really congested.
"It only takes a few goals and a couple of wins to get up the table."
Former England youth international Bailey has been at Nottingham Forest for five seasons and hopes to get her first taste of the Super League against Arsenal.
"If you're going to play you're first game in the Super League, why not start against Arsenal," commented Bailey.
"Hopefully I will add to the defensive stability they've been working on. If I can add to performances which mean they climb the table then that would be great."
