Former England international left-back Michael Ball looks certain to be offered a contract by Leicester City after impressing during pre-season.
Former Everton and Rangers defender Ball, 31, has been without a club since leaving Manchester City in July 2009.
But Foxes manager Sven-Goran Eriksson told BBC Radio Leicester: "If he goes on like this, without getting injuries, I am sure we will offer him a contract.
"He is a good player, he is experienced and he is good for the dressing room."
Ball, who won one England cap under Eriksson, has featured in Leicester's pre-season victories over IK Sirius and Vasalunds in Sweden.
