Jersey have crashed out of the men's football competition at the Island Games after a 1-0 defeat to the Isle of Wight in the semi-finals.

The match had looked like it was destined for extra time, but John McKie poked the ball home eight minutes from time to send the hosts through.

Jersey were the reigning champions and have the best record in men's football in the history of the Games.

The Isle of Wight will now face Guernsey in Friday's final.

Jersey will meet Aland in the bronze medal play-off.
