Brentford release defender David McCracken

McCracken's last appearance for Brentford came in a 4-2 win at Exeter

Defender David McCracken has left Brentford after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old Scot joined the Bees last summer after leaving Milton Keynes Dons, but started just two games.

He spent the second half of last season on loan with Bristol Rovers, making 10 appearances, but was unable to prevent them being relegated to League Two.

McCracken started his career in his homeland with Dundee United before enjoying a two-year spell with Wycombe.
