Algerian international Medhi Lacen has agreed to join Getafe from Spanish rivals Racing Santander, the Madrid club has confirmed.
The 27-year-old, who joined Racing in 2008, has agreed a four-year deal.
Lacen, who made his Algeria debut in March 2010, played every single minute for the Desert Foxes at last year's World Cup finals.
Lacen began his career in the French second division in 2003 before eventually moving to Spain in 2005.
He played three seasons with former Uefa Cup finalists Alaves before joining Racing Santander.
Lacen leaves Racing, who finished 12th in La Liga last season, to join a side who ended up below them in the table, with Getafe taking 16th place, finishing just a point above the relegation zone.
