Alfreton Town sign ex-Darlington pair Senior and Lowson

Senior spent one season at Darlington, scoring four league goals in 29 games

Blue Square Bet Premier new boys Alfreton have signed former Darlington duo Chris Senior and Dan Lowson.

Former Altrincham striker Senior, 29, was released by the Quakers days after scoring the only goal in their FA Trophy final win over Mansfield.

Goalkeeper Lowson, 23, played for Ilkeston Town before they folded and had a non-contract spell at Darlington but ended the season at Blyth Spartans.

Senior has signed a two-year deal, and Lowson joins for 12 months.
