Bristol Rovers have signed Shrewsbury Town striker Matt Harrold for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old, who still had a year left to run on his contract with Town, has signed a two-year deal at the Memorial Stadium.
Manager Paul Buckle told the club website: "We managed to get him for a great price, he is a real bargain.
"He is strong, and solid target man but he is also good with the ball into his feet - he is a class act."
Buckle added: "He is capable of playing at League One level and these are the type of players I am trying to bring into the club."
Harrold had spells at Brentford, Yeovil Town, Southend and Wycombe Wanderers before joining Shrewsbury in July 2010.
He scored nine goals in 47 appearances last season.
