Huddersfield Town have released young centre-back Leigh Franks.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Terriers from non-league Bridlington in 2007, made five appearances for Oxford United while on loan in 2010/11.

He also spent time on loan at Fleetwood Town, but the defender did not make a first team appearance for Huddersfield.

Town manager Lee Clark said: "Leigh has some good attributes as a defender and we will do everything we can to help him get fixed up with another club."
