Dave Jones insists defender Mark Hudson will be fit for Cardiff City's play-off campaign after being replaced in their 1-1 draw at Burnley on Saturday.
It was feared the 29-year-old centre-back suffered a recurrence of a knee injury after a first-half collision with Cardiff keeper Stephen Bywater.
But Bluebirds boss Jones insists: "It was a tactical change."
Cardiff now hope goalkeeper Tom Heaton recovers from a groin strain for their Reading play-off double-header.
The former Manchester United stopper missed Cardiff's draw at Burnley - being replaced by stand-in Bywater - and Hudson faces a fitness test ahead of their Championship play-off bid.
The Welsh club travel to the Madejski Stadium for their play-off semi-final first-leg with Reading on Friday, before the return at the Cardiff City Stadium on 17 May.
