Queen's Park are on course to secure a Third Division promotion play-off place after winning away to struggling Clyde.

And it moves the Spiders into the final play-off spot at the expense of Stranraer, who are two points behind.

Top scorer Jamie Longworth put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute, meeting Martin McBride's corner to head home his ninth goal of the season.

McBride found the bottom corner with an impressive strike from outside the box to make the game safe after 64 minutes.

Clyde nearly levelled seven minutes after the Glasgow side's opener, but John Stewart could only head over from close range following good work from Graham Girvan.

The hosts also went close to equalising in the 26th minute, Ross McMillan's header forcing a good save from Queen's Park goalkeeper Adam Strain following Jamie McCluskey's dangerous outswinging cross.
