Peterborough United winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing says he may not return to the club next season without a guarantee of first-team football.
The 19-year-old is on a season-long loan at London Road from Wolves.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I'm not too sure what's happening next year but wherever I go I need to be playing.
"[Posh] have said I'm a good player and they'd be happy to have me back, but I need to be playing because next season is a big season for me"
The Wolves youth product has made 25 substitute appearances for Posh but just six starts, scoring three times.
Having taken just one point from their last two matches, Posh are ruled out of automatic promotion from League One and Mendez-Laing admitted he was disappointed they now have to face the play-offs.
He said: "It's a bit gutting because we could have pushed for that automatic place.
"Now it's the play-offs so let's make sure we get in to the Championship now."
