Southampton defender Jose Fonte has said he is impressed with how the Saints have handled missing key players through injury this season.
Saints are without Adam Lallana, Dan Harding with groin strains while Alex Chamberlain has an ankle injury.
"We miss them but we keep winning and it shows our squad is strong," he told BBC Radio Solent.
"We've got other players who do the best they can and it's important to keep winning and keep fighting."
The injured trio, along with Fonte and goalkeeper Kelvin Davis, were named in the League One team of the year at the PFA awards on Sunday to top off a successful weekend where the Saints beat Bristol Rovers 1-0 to remain in second place, above Huddersfield.
But Fonte, 27, insists the Saints, who face League One champions Brighton next, will not get carried away by their league position.
"All I know is we need to win the next game and take it game-by-game," said the ex-Crystal Palace defender.
"It doesn't matter about saying we need to win the next five, four or three games.
"We need to make sure we prepare ourselves for the next one at Brighton and then we'll see what is happening."
