Cardiff City have extended Jason Brown's loan deal from Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old goalkeeper, who won two caps for Wales, joined on a month's emergency loan deal in early March.
Brown has not featured in the seven games since joining Cardiff, and lost his place on the bench to Tom Heaton against Sheffield United on Tuesday.
Stephen Bywater, who joined on loan at the same time as Brown, has established himself as the first choice.
Bywater, who was signed until the end of the season from Derby, and Brown were recruited after Cardiff lost Heaton and David Marshall to injury.
Heaton has since recovered from his groin injury but Marshall's season is over after having elbow reconstruction surgery.
Bywater returned between the posts for the 2-0 win over Sheffield United on Tuesday night after Heaton had started the two previous games, a 3-1 win over Doncaster Rovers and a 4-1 success over Derby County.
