Andy Welsh scored late on for Yeovil to thwart Oldham's hopes of a victory.
The visitors took the lead when Reuben Reid set up captain Chris Taylor, who slammed home from the edge of the penalty area.
Yeovil picked up the pace but were reduced to 10 men when defender Luke Ayling was shown his second yellow card for a foul on Cedric Evina.
However, Welsh grabbed the equaliser, finding the end of a John Obika cross to fire in from an acute angle.
Oldham Athletic player-manager Paul Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester:
"We told the boys at half-time not to get sloppy and with them going down to 10 men, I think mentally the lads thought it was going to be too easier.
"When you've got young players in the team I expect my senior players to help them out and most of them wanted to but a couple of them didn't.
"I want to finish in the top-half, I want to win every game and I want my players to finish the season strongly."
