Peterborough United defender Tom Kennedy has said he would be interested in making his loan switch from Leicester permanent come the end of the season.

The 25-year-old joined the Posh in January after struggling for opportunities at the Walkers Stadium.

He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I'd definitely like to stay beyond the end of the season.

"It's been a topsy-turvy season and I'm starting to find my feet here."

Kennedy made the move from Rochdale to Leicester over the summer, but managed just four appearances for the Foxes before rejoining the Dale on loan.

He has been a virtual ever present under Darren Ferguson though, making 14 starts since arriving at the Posh.

"I went to Leicester, but it didn't work out and it wasn't very enjoyable," he said.

Posh were struggling for left-back options prior to Kennedy's arrival with Tommy Rowe, Seth Nana Ofori-Twumasi and Charlie Lee each having filled the role with varying success.

He says he has enjoyed working under Darren Ferguson at London Road.

"Darren has a lot of faith in his players and even if you have a bad game he gives you plenty of confidence," he said.

"It's taken me a few games to adjust, but I've really started to show the fans what I can do."
