Steve Kabba hit four second-half goals against his former side to give Barnet a massive win against League Two relegation rivals Burton.
Sam Winnall drilled in a fine effort to give the Brewers the lead.
Kabba equalised for the Bees with a powerful finish after a long ball before lobbing in a superb second.
He notched his hat-trick from the spot after Scott Malone had brought down Sam Deering, before bundling home a fourth from Mark Marshall's centre.
POST-MATCH REACTION
Barnet boss Martin Allen told BBC London 94.9:"We had numerous opportunities in the final third but we were just a little bit anxious and too quick with the passing.
"We improved a little bit in the second and we played well right through the game.
"There seemed to be a few hundred Barnet supporters behind the goal and god bless them because they made so much noise."
