Doug Loft's goal gave Port Vale victory over Lincoln and lifted them back in to the League Two play-off places.
The visitors took an early lead when Gavin McCallum slammed home Julian Kelly's cross.
But Vale hit back after the break as Marc Richards headed home Kris Taylor's cross for his 100th career goal.
And Loft sealed the win with a stunning left-footed shot from 25 yards out which swerved past Imps goalkeeper Elliott Parish.
POST MATCH REACTION
Port Vale caretaker manager Mark Grew told BBC Radio Stoke:"As soon as they gave me the teamsheet, I knew they were going to play 4-5-1.
"We told the lads not to give silly free-kicks away and what do we do? People didn't do their jobs.
"At half time I said 'you've got 45 minutes to put it right' and the reaction is what we got."
Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "Over 90 minutes we deserved something out of the game, but it was a good response to Friday night, a much better performance.
"We worked a lot harder and I'm gutted that we got nothing out of the game because we deserved to. We were by miles the better side in the first half and even in the second half had a couple of good moves.
"It's getting tougher but if we keep putting in performances like that we'll get to 50 points."
