Aldershot extended their unbeaten run to seven games thanks to Darren Jones' header against Accrington.
Rory Boulding gave Stanley the lead when he latched onto Sean McConville's weighted pass and slotted past keeper Jamie Young.
Jimmy Ryan skipped past two defenders and cracked a shot off the post as the visitors threatened to extend the lead.
But it was the hosts who struck next to earn a point when Jones flicked in Anthony Straker's free kick.
Aldershot Town manager Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey:
"It wasn't a pretty game, it was all stop-start with plenty of moaning and was a bit of a chore to be honest.
"We've had seven games and a great month, but there's a still a lot of learning to be done.
"There was no relaxing today, we came up against a good Accrington side who hunted us down well and stopped us playing."
