Accrington's Sean McConville was denied a winner in their stalemate at Crewe.
The midfielder turned and fired off a fierce shot that crashed off the crossbar and appeared to cross the line, but no goal was given.
Stanley keeper Alex Cisak saved well from Clayton Donaldson, Ashley Westwood and Danny Shelley.
At the other end, Rhys Taylor tipped Andy Proctor's header over and pulled off a fine double-save to deny Ian Craney and Jimmy Ryan.
Crewe manager Dario Gradi told BBC Radio Stoke:
"I thought it was a good standard game and I would have settled for a point.
"They had one or two little scrambles and probably made more chances than us.
"If anyone was going to win it, it was probably going to be them, so I was quite pleased with a point."
