British cyclist Lucy Garner has claimed her maiden win at the La Route de France stage race.
The 20-year-old sprinted to victory on the first of the six-stage race for her pro team Liv-Plantur.
Garner was the world junior road race champion in 2012 but has endured a frustrating season.
She had to abandon her last two races, including La Course by Le Tour de France in Paris in July, after crashing.
The 20-year-old tweeted: "I am really happy to have won today after such a close sprint for the win. Thanks Liv-Plantur girls for making it happen!"
