Cyclist Greg Mansell has pulled out of the Jersey team for next month's Island Games.
He is unavailable to race on home soil because of work commitments.
The 27-year-old, who won two team bronzes and an individual town criterium bronze at the last Island Games in Bermuda, had been expected to lead the island's road race team at this summer's event.
He is replaced by Richard Tanguy, who was due to race in the mountain biking.
Reserve rider Howard Greenside has been drafted in to replace Tanguy.
Jersey won seven cycling medals at the 2013 Games in Bermuda, but none of them were gold.
Meanwhile, with exactly a month until the Games gets underway, Jersey 2015 organisers have written to 13,000 homes and businesses across Jersey warning of planned road closures along the cycling and triathlon routes.
