Guernsey's James McLaughlin wins Hampshire road race

Guernsey's James McLaughlin put in a strong performance to win the Southern Division Road Race Championships in Hampshire.

Racing for Team Pendragon, McLaughlin was challenging right from the start of the 91-mile race, held at Stockbridge.

After six laps of the circuit, McLaughlin and Jersey's Richard Tanguy were out in front.

The Sarnian then powered ahead of his Channel Islands rival on the last lap to claim victory by 36 seconds.
