Former Warwickshire captain Jim Troughton, who retired at the back end of last season, will return to Edgbaston in a new coaching role.
The former England one-day international will supplement the backroom staff as fielding coach.
Troughton, 35, was the Bears' skipper when they won the County Championship for the seventh time in 2012.
