|Leicestershire 186-4 (24.2/25 overs) beat Hampshire 275-9 (50 overs) by six wickets (D/L method)|
Niall O'Brien smashed an unbeaten 105 to earn Leicestershire a thrilling six-wicket final-over victory in a rain-hit One-Day Cup match with Hampshire.
After opener Michael Carberry hit three sixes in his 50-ball 61, Sean Terry (63) ensured Hampshire set a challenging total of 276 for victory.
The rain meant the Foxes were chasing a revised 25-over total of 186 to win.
And O'Brien played beautifully, hitting seven sixes in his 72-ball knock to earn victory with four balls left.
Greg Smith scored a rapid 34 in a second-wicket partnership of 95 with O'Brien as the chase looked to set to finish with time to spare.
But some tight bowling by James Tomlinson (2-33) and a late wobble saw the visitors needing 20 from the last two overs.
However, O'Brien got on strike in the final over and hit a four and a six to give Leicestershire a second One-Day Cup victory in four Group B matches.
