|Somerset 175-8 (20ovs) beat Gloucestershire 168-6 (20ovs) by seven runs|
Alfonso Thomas took two wickets in the final over as Somerset pulled off an unlikely seven-run win over Gloucestershire at Taunton.
Seemingly cruising to their target of 176 on 133-2 with five overs to go, Gloucestershire lost their way and needed 15 from the final over.
Thomas (3-43) struck twice as the visitors fell short on 168-6, despite Alex Gidman's 55 from 39 balls.
Nick Compton (46) and Craig Kieswetter (39) earlier helped Somerset to 175-8.
The result, Somerset's eighth T20 win over Gloucestershire in the last 10 completed games, keeps their chances of making the quarter-finals very much alive, while the visitors' hopes are almost over.
