All-rounder Richard Pyrah has signed a new contract that will keep him at Yorkshire until at least December 2015.

Pyrah, 30, who has been on Yorkshire's books since 2001, is the 11th current player to sign a new deal this summer.

In his 12 years with his home county, Pyrah has scored 1,256 first-class runs with a highest score of 134 not out, and taken 49 wickets.

A regular in the one-day side, he has played 105 List A matches, amassing 1,020 runs and taking 125 wickets.

"Richard is the ultimate professional that works hard on his game and makes excellent contributions both with the ball and the bat," said Yorkshire director of cricket Martyn Moxon.

"His fielding is amongst the very best on the county circuit and his presence in the dressing room is vital in our success over the years ahead.

Pyrah said: "I have enjoyed every minute representing the county of my birth and am looking forward to being part of the future success of Yorkshire cricket.

"You look in the dressing room and there is a rich vein of talent across all departments that is coming to the fore. The next few years, potentially, could be very special in the modern history of this great club."
