Cornwall knocked out of MCCA Trophy by Berkshire


Cornwall missed out on the chance to reach the semi-finals of the MCCA Trophy for only the second time in their history after losing by 61 runs to Berkshire in Newbury.

Opener David Barnes hit 106 and Richard Morris made 58 to help Berkshire to 247-6 from 35 overs in a rain-hit game.

And the Duchy's batsmen fell well short of their target as they were bowled out for 186 in 28.4 overs.

Rob Harrison top-scored with 42, while Euan Brock took 5-49 for the home side.
