Bottom side Leicestershire are in sight of recording only their second County Championship win of the season after ending day two with promotion hopefuls Hampshire on the rack at Grace Road.

Resuming on 334-8 they totalled 356, with Shiv Thakor, marooned on 85, missing a first Championship century.

Matthew Hoggard then rolled back the years to take 4-27 as Hampshire were bowled out for 181.
