Leicestershire must not overreact - Matthew Hoggard

Matthew Hoggard

Leicestershire captain Matthew Hoggard admitted the display in their opening FL t20 match of the campaign against Nottinghamshire was not good enough but says there is no need to overreact.

The Foxes, who face Lancashire on Friday, lost by six wickets but Hoggard told BBC Radio Leicester there is no need to panic despite their tiny squad.

"Our skill levels were below par and we have a lot of thinking to do," he said.

"But you don't become a bad player overnight. There are no headaches."
